SHEET 004 / 004 Support · How this thing stays free

If it saved you a headache,
the tip jar is open.

WireMapper is free to use. If it has saved you the time of redrawing a rack on three different sheets, kicking back a few bucks keeps it free for the next person.

If money's tight,
this is just as useful.

Most of the improvements that ship come from the people actually using WireMapper on real jobs. Three things that take five minutes and matter more than they sound:

Request a stencil

Got a device that isn't in the library? Send the make, model, and a photo of the back panel and it goes on the build list.

→ Send a request
!

Report a bug

Found something weird? Include what you did, what you expected, and your browser. Faster fix when there's a clear reproduction.

→ Send a report

Tell another tech

The community is the marketing budget. If a colleague is still wrestling with a tool that doesn't fit the job, point them this way. Word of mouth is the only reason this exists.

Note

WireMapper is a solo side project, built alongside a full-time job. These aren't contact forms. They're a one-way queue. There's no reply, no ticket number, and no ETA. Some requests ship eventually. Some take a while. Some don't make it in at all. What does get built goes to everyone. The people using this on real jobs and surfacing what's actually broken or missing are the reason it keeps getting better, so submissions genuinely matter, even when the only response is silence and then a changelog.

What's brewing

Another purpose-built tool, in early development

WireMapper isn't the only thing on the bench. A second tool (same philosophy, different problem space, aimed at the same community) is in early prototyping. It isn't ready to show off yet, and it may eventually fold into WireMapper rather than ship as a separate app.

Support here funds both. When the second tool is ready to look at, it'll get its own announcement here.
